WPC Driver Board from a Jackbot

The problem

The board arrived with a blown F105 fuse per the client. Testing revealed that Q48 was shorted.

The repair

  • Replaced Q48 with a new TIP102
  • Found and replaced a blown GI fuse
  • Installed a new Molex .156 male connector at J120
  • Replaced capacitors C2, C4, and C5
  • Reflowed known weak solder joints

Testing

The completed board was tested on the WPC factory bench and passed.
